Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

Serve as an agile architect to manage Samsung’s website and how it works. Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design. Responsible for the over-all systems architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance. Develop and deliver quality services and solutions using JavaScript, HTTP, REST, RDBMS, No SQL, and other web technologies. Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology. Propose frameworks, technologies, and standards for development and implementation. Conceptualize and come up with multiple architectural approaches. Closely work with Product Management to understand business requirements and Engineering to determine performance requirement consequences in order to translate them in the best product architecture choices. Perform occasional hands-on coding.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in software design, development, maintenance, and support. Experience must include Object Oriented programming (C++, Java, or C#); database management using MySQL or PostGres; Agile process; and CS Concepts including Data Structures and performance tuning and optimization. 10% domestic and international travel required.
