United States SMC – Corporate HQ Sr. Finance Manager

The SMC & OCP Finance team in the US Subsidiary is seeking a Sr. Finance Manager to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced (and fun) environment to support the revenue analytics (including channel and product insights) for the SMC-Corporate segment

This role will support the SMC sub-segment team within the US Subsidiary ($3B in revenue). This is an exciting opportunity to drive thought leadership in revenue analytics and product insights across both Cloud and On-Premise products and multiple channels and sales motions. The role will also be at the center of the Inside Sales transformation of the Corporate business helping drive performance insights on the business model transformation. This role will be responsible for the key financial rhythms of the SMC-C business (monthly performance management, CFO forecast, planning) in conjunction with the field teams. The role will provide an opportunity to develop your financial analysis, product insights, business partnerships and communication skills, while you aim to drive impact across the business.

Responsibilities

The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple stakeholder requirements while enabling the accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and be curious in learning the segment, product and sales motions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and drive financial rhythms (month end close, outlook, MBR, CFO forecast) for the SMC-C Subsegment

  • Lead the FY20 and future year planning process for the US SMC-C segment in collaboration with WWIS, US M&O, field enablement and business team

  • Drive thought leadership in providing actionable revenue insights for SMC-C and highlight early trends in business performance

  • Develop deep product expertise in key cloud and On-Prem workloads and partner with the M&O and WWIS STU team to drive actionable COEs

  • Participate in cross team initiatives (finance, sales excellence, sales leadership) to drive process improvements & efficiencies

  • Key liaison with US field team, US M&O, and WWIS for monthly close, forecast and planning rhythms

  • Collaborate with manager to identify high impact projects that will drive business success and align to your personal development goals

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organization, and creating effecting partnerships

  • Ability to "think outside the box" and not be hindered by how things have been done in the past

  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and project management with proven ability to drive projects and analysis to closure

  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including: analysis, forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple groups, responsive with strong customer service orientation.

  • Minimum 5 years of finance experience in a large organization including finance analysis experience

  • Strong ability, expertise and/or aptitude to work with Microsoft’s financial systems, policies, and tools (MS Sales, Mercury).

  • Excellent Excel, PowerBI and Office skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related degrees
