Samsung Electronics America Senior Technical Project Management Specialist in Bellevue, Washington
We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Management Specialist with relevant experience to launch and maintain releases of mobile products and services. As a project owner, you will be the overall lead technical point of contact and also be responsible for maintaining good stakeholder communication.
Maintain good stakeholder communication primarily with customers, local technical and marketing teams, and R&D teams
Track and execute project schedules, milestones and deliverables for executing wireless products via carrier approval process from pre-lab entry to technical acceptance/approval
Work closely with software, hardware, UX, product management, and quality assurance teams, and use creativity to find solutions to technical and logistic issues.
Regularly communicate the project status and key issues to management.
Identify critical and urgent issues correctly and make corrective action items and/or recommendations to management and issue owners in timely manner
Use technical engineering knowledge and experience to understand customer applications, test cases, and requirements.
Interworking capability with teams in different time zones.
Role and Responsibilities
Minimum BS degree in related fields required
5+ years of technical or telecommunications engineering related experiences in mobile phone/tablet or related industry
Strong technical background and experience working with customers in Wireless products area
Experience working with embedded consumer products
Working experience on Wireless Carrier certification is Plus.
Project/Program Management of software and hardware products is Plus.
Develop and maintain excellent technical skills including proactive, customer service oriented working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple engineering support assignments and projects as directed by the manager of the group and/or other departmental officers.
Read, interpret and act on very high level of proper understanding of technical documents, engineering test materials and related documents based on corporate engineering standards and philosophy.
In customer service related situations demonstrate high competency level in communication skills using both oral and written modes for internal and external personnel at all management and staff organizational levels for both persuasion in sales decision activities and/or the communication of technical information. Must be able to communicate in writing, through email and reports, or orally complex technical matters to an audience that may include less technically oriented listeners.
Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames. Tasks are guided by clearly defined objectives and functional direction with an implied knowledge of task alternatives and decision making experience. - Skills and knowledge to test and evaluate new Wireless Products, including the verification of product features by simulation and/or reproduction of errors and complaints of Wireless products.
Must be able to read, analyze and interpret technical requirements and procedures
