Team/Function Overview

The position is based in Belfast and is required to work on project delivery work, ensuring a robust test automation using selenium.

Within the Asset Servicing group in Belfast we have presence in the following job functions: Op’s/Development/BAPM/Production Support/Environement Team.

Role/Position Overview

  • Candidate will work with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC

  • Candidate will work independently and be highly self motivated. He will be asked to represent the stakeholders

  • Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs

  • The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs

  • Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of automation solution using Selenium for Asset Servicing applications.

  • Design and work on hybrid framework to support service layer and UI automation

  • Ability to work with business users and business partners in gathering requirements, generating design and test documents.

  • Conduct functional and regression test on Asset Servicing applications.

  • Engage with project stakeholders on a daily basis to help resolve issues and improve automation-testing strategies.

  • Coordination with users to support UAT

  • Foster a spirit of innovation and collaboration in regards to testing.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Extensive years hands-on testing experience in Quality assurance

  • Extensive years hands-on experience in Selenium.

  • Strong experience in design and developing of automation framework.

  • Should have track record of delivering automation solutions for complex UI applications

  • Strong knowledge of Database Automation

  • Basic knowledge on UNIX and shell scripting

Skills:

  • Experience of working on Complex UI applications developed using Frameworks like GWT, jQuery, ExtJs, AngularJS, automation scripting using Java

  • Developing service layer automation

  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts

  • Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools and associated reports, such as HP Quality Center and JIRA

  • Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability

  • Flexible, hands-on "doer", able to cope with changing requirements / time constraints

  • Knowledge of industry standard Testing tools

  • Thorough knowledge of Testing lifecycle and methodologies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)

Working as a partner is key is this role as it will be necessary to engage various team to ensure that projects are delivered on time. This can range from liaising with Operations staff as well as offshore/onshore QA teams.
