The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager with experience selling high-tech solutions and services to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within an assigned territory or industry. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the sale, including price negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. You will also coordinate internal resources, including sales engineering and technical support. As a Sales Account Manager, you'll work with partner sales and services teams and IT and business executives to develop and carry out sales plans. Primary job responsibilities
Sell Red Hat’s solutions and services to valued enterprise customers
Craft strategic and tactical plans for new business development and guide the extended sales team in using them to maximize revenue and growth
Promote our platform, management, and middleware software subscriptions
Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and price quotes for our offerings
Develop balanced revenue across technologies
Accurately forecast and close sales that align with company goals
Understand customer business and technology product needs and communicate them to executives
8+ years of direct sales management experience, preferably in the IT software and services industry
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline
Knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems with a passion for open source technology
Understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing; knowledge of Linux or UNIX sales cycles is a plus
Ability to articulate technological strategies to a wide range of decision makers within an organization, including technical, business, and executive audiences
Demonstrated understanding of companies and opportunities that exist within your assigned territory or industry
