Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT leader with the vision and the ability to deliver world-class IT infrastructure (computing, networking and storage resources) and corporate technology solutions (software and hardware) to join our team.

Our Director of Infrastructure will provide vision and strategic direction to the team, bring knowledge and new ideas, review the existing infrastructure and deliver a powerful and resilient computing environment.

This position will also be responsible of managing the infrastructure team (network engineers, system engineers, desktop engineers, cloud engineers, and database administrators), selecting vendors and products, implementing and maintaining solutions and infrastructure, and communicating progress across the organization.

As our Director of Infrastructure you will:

  • Leadership

  • Set vision for corporate computing environment.

  • Enacts vision and plans by thoughtful and effective strategic and tactical leadership.

  • Work with business leaders, CIO and IT peers to identify growth and efficiency opportunities.

  • Actively organize and evangelize long-range strategy planning and manage policy development.

  • Drives changes across the company.

  • Demonstrates sense of accountability and ownership.

  • Execution

  • Delivers new infrastructure initiatives on time and budget.

  • Maintains existing infrastructure with relentless focus stability, capacity and security.

  • Manages IT services such as procurement, contract management and patching.

  • Supports corporate software, including Exchange, Office, Salesforce, Great Plains, workflow software and other COTS software.

  • Manage project costs by establishing clear cost models and spend accountability; manages operational costs; conducts near- and long-term financial forecasts.

  • Establishes, and delivers to, service level agreements with functional area owners.

  • Manages relationships vendors, outsourcers, and contractors, including selection, negotiation and ongoing relationship around products and services.

  • Staff Development

  • Provides leadership and management through coaching, empowering and facilitating teamwork for all staff, including the administration of personnel actions and reviews.

  • Develops staff to their fullest potential and provides challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.

  • Recruits and develops appropriate talent pool to insure adequate bench strength and succession planning.

  • Recognizes and rewards team members for accomplishments.

  • Process Development

  • Lead efforts to develop and mature IT operational processes applying ITIL or equivalent best practices as appropriate.

  • Enterprise metrics, reports and dashboards.

  • Driving increased levels of process improvement and automation.

  • Play a lead role in Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Response initiatives.

  • Play a lead role in security initiatives.

  • Others duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • A minimum of Five (5) years in IT Infrastructure leadership.

  • Demonstrated success in designing, delivering, and maintaining mission critical, 24x7 systems that support 10,000s of transactions per minute and working with large scale, high-availability SQL environments.

  • Deep understanding of cloud, data centers, WANs, virtualization and server technologies.

  • Prior experience providing multi-location supporting 1000+ corporate users.

  • Experience managing IT procurement, budget and cost savings.

  • Experience with vendor selection and ongoing management.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies.

  • Experience with disaster response planning and testing.

  • Excellent conceptualization, analytical, logic, and documentation skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical topics with a non-technical audience.

  • Possess solid business acumen and have the ability to work closely with CIO and communicate with all levels of employees and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services or servicing operations desirable.
