Vail Resorts Ski Valet - White Carpet Club - Full-Time and Part-Time - Winter Seasonal - Beaver Creek in Beaver Creek, Colorado

Responsible for creating a welcoming first impression to White Carpet Club guests by providing name recognition and timely delivery and retrieval of guests' ski and snowboard equipment. Provide immediate and courteous guest service. Communicate with various departments to notify internal staff of guest arrival and/or needs. Responsible for organizing and maintaining the White Carpet Club valet tent and equipment racks. Demonstrate positive attitude in stressful situations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greet guests by name and appropriately engage in conversation.

  • Work outdoors in adverse winter conditions.

  • Valet all ski/snowboard equipment with applicable labels, then put into inventory, and store in an organized fashion.

  • Receive, track, and transport guests’ equipment at the start of each guest’s stay, at the end of each day, or when guests are done skiing/snowboarding.

  • Locate guests’ ski/snowboard equipment and set out on appropriate racks, per each guest’s expectations, so that equipment is easily, efficiently, and seamlessly accessed at the start of each guest’s day on the mountain.

  • Keep valet area organized and clean at all times.

  • Assist guests by answering questions promptly and courteously and following through on special requests.

  • Assist in setting the Club up for the day -- coffee, pastries, arrival packets, receiving delivered skis, etc.

  • Place boot on dryers at the end of each day, and then neatly store boots in guests’ lockers the following morning.

  • Assist in managing locker assignments, equipment deliveries and returns, and arrival and departure details.

  • Coordinate equipment drop off and return with delivery companies.

  • Return all rental equipment in a timely fashion to shops in BC village at the end of guests' stay.

  • Document all ski-tuning instructions, coordinate, and transport equipment to and from the ski shop.

  • Assist in maintaining required inventory for consumable products (hand warmers, paper products, beverage items, etc.) to ensure the Club is fully stocked -- communicate to Lead or Manager when inventories are low and in need of restocking.

  • Assist with phone calls and provides accurate information regarding White Carpet Club amenities, services, and prices.

  • Cover public valet and (inside) front desk when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent - required

  • Some college experience - preferred

  • Prior guest service experience - required

  • Valid, active driver's license; can pass MRV check – required, if fulfilling a driving role

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – preferred

  • English – required

  • Can clearly express self verbally, using correct grammar - required

  • Ability to work outside in adverse winter conditions - required

  • Ability to lift and transport 50 pounds - required

  • Must be able to work the whole season, to include scheduled weekends and holidays - required

  • Adherence to Presentation Policy - required

  • Demonstrates attention to detail – required

  • Ability to answer questions and speak knowledgeably about all White Carpet Club services and amenities, as well as resort products and services (in particular Ski School and general information relative to lift ticket/pass products) – required
