7-Eleven Equipment Maintenance Technician in Baytown, Texas
This position is responsible for the maintenance, and/or repair, of a variety of specialized equipment in an assigned group of 7-Eleven/Stripes stores within a geographic area. Most service calls are assigned via work orders initiated from the store. Position reports to the Area Facilities Manager.
Responds to work orders for a wide variety of in-store equipment which include, but may not be limited to HVAC, refrigeration, all beverage equipment, ice makers, food equipment, etc.
Responds to work orders related to plumbing or electrical issues.
Responsible for replacing small ‘plug and play’ equipment as needed
Able to perform major component replacement (i.e. Compressors, Coils), as applicable
Meet response time parameters for repair types, including ensuring high priority work, as communicated by dispatch, is completed first.
Ensure that assigned vehicle is appropriately stocked with parts and tools as needed. Appropriately maintains company vehicle.
Complete accurate work order reporting within required timelines
Available to work flexible hours (shifts) and available to be “on call” as assigned (rotating schedule). May require unscheduled overtime, or response to emergency situations.
Communicate with all team members to ensure that technician’s work assists store employees in being “customer obsessed” to provide customer satisfaction.
Strong communication skills, able to interact with store staff and customers
Valid driver’s license and good driving record; responsible to drive company vehicle
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
HVACR: must have certifications in proper refrigerant practices (Freon license) and 410A Safety Certification Card
Basic knowledge of electrical and electrical components
Basic computer knowledge
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year experience in mechanical, facilities or construction trade, or trade school equivalent
Other certifications or licenses (OSHA, HAZMAT, mechanical etc.)
