Job summary

Lead sales activities for large conglomerates as well as insurance accounts. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Sales Account Manager to join us in Bangkok, Thailand. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing booking numbers. You’ll develop and maintain relationships within these accounts and sell Red Hat’s offerings and professional services. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills because you will regularly call on customer executives within your assigned accounts with your manager. As a Sales Account Manager, you will also need to understand executives' challenges to make call scenarios, define issues, and demonstrate how Red Hat's offerings and solutions can solve them.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Create and implement territory and account plans to ensure that short and long-term revenue goals are met

  • Develop and close sustainable bookings across technologies

  • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals

  • Understand customer business issues and demonstrate how to solve them using Red Hat’s solutions and services

  • Find new opportunities within your assigned named accounts

  • Work closely with your extended Red Hat team and external partners to identify key projects, programs, and offices to sell Red Hat’s solutions

  • Become a trusted adviser for senior IT and business executives to create long-term partnerships

Required skills

  • 5+ years of field sales experience in the enterprise large accounts space; proven record of success

  • 2+ years of experience selling enterprise software and solutions; knowledge of middleware or cloud infrastructure software solutions is a plus

  • Proven record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations in a rapidly evolving technology domain

  • Experience in consultative customer engagement with a major enterprise software company or in the sales division of an enterprise software reseller

  • Ability to maintain a solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and services

  • Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly explain comprehensive technological strategies to a wide range of decision-makers within an organization, including technical, business, and especially C-level audiences
