Kelly Scientific Resources has an opening for a Project Manager at a speciality and a cGMP compliant laboratory located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Overall Responsibilities: Implement contracts within scope, manage budget and timelines, maintain client communication, and perform Laboratory duties as needed

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage project timelines so that contract deliverables are met in a timely manner

  • Train analysts on various in-vitro laboratory techniques pertaining to nasal sprays, pulmonary products (such as metered dose inhalers, dry powder inhalers, nebulizers) and other pharmaceutical dosage forms as per the FDA guidelines

  • Customer champion—communicate with customer → all email communication with customer will flow through PM

  • Report OOSs to clients within 2 business days

  • Prepare test plan for programs including audit and QM timelines

  • Plan project resource needs and communicate to Operations Manager and Team Leaders

  • Manage capacity, scope and budget for assigned projects

  • Establish and implement stability programs as per ICH and FDA guidelines

  • Write study protocols, reports, test methods and spreadsheets for data entry as needed o Back up signature on reports and protocols when Ops Manager is not available o Back up release on notebooks when Ops Manager is not available

  • Organize kick off project meetings

  • Run project close out meetings

  • Communicate timelines to Ops and Quality

  • Organize customer teleconferences and prepare meeting minutes

  • Participate in following meetings:

  • Operations

  • Big Time

  • Revenue Recognition

  • Weekly sales meetings

  • Client and regulatory audits

  • Management Committee Meetings

  • Help troubleshoot problems with lab work

  • Work with sales to plan and scope new work; review proposals

  • Update Operations on pending programs

  • Participate in client visits with Business Manager as needed

  • Communicate externally

  • Work on assigned objectives in a timely manner.

  • Take an active role in aiding the management to further expand the nasal, inhaler and other dosage form testing services

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills and Attributes

  • Possess a thorough understanding of a variety of pulmonary and nasal pharmaceutical drug product testing processes using analytical equipment such as Malvern, Andersen Cascade Impactor and HPLC. Maintain SME status for key equipment.

  • Follow cGMP guidelines

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to complete projects within budget and in a timely manner, take initiative and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Follow safety rules and regulations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to travel

Experience Requirement

  • Master’s Degree at minimum and Five (5) years’ experience as a project manager within the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences
