University of Maryland, Baltimore Post-Doctoral Fellow in Baltimore, Maryland

A Full-Time postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Technology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine to conduct research on a novel class of small molecules that potently inhibits Zika and Dengue virus replication by targeting a host ubiquitin ligase complex.

The scientist will be involved in mechanistic characterization of the small molecules using relevant cellular and animal models. The successful candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent in life sciences with expertise in molecular and cellular virology and related assays, procedures, and techniques.

Preference will be given to the candidate who has a demonstrated record in Dengue or Zika virus research. The candidate must be highly collaborative, team-oriented, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
