The Senior Project Administrator will be familiar with all administrative aspects of the Johns Hopkins Health System's (JHHS) operational divisions with a specific focus on the Academic and Community Hospitals. This position will provide staff support in planning and organizing cross-functional units and cross-entity activities and committees in support of financial and labor management initiatives. The position will work directly with leadership within all business units throughout the system to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives and provide integration between business units and technical units. Key responsibilities include develop labor productivity dashboards and working closely with executive team in the development and implementation of the dashboards.
Requires a Master's degree in Finance, IT, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field. NOTE: Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on a 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis.
5 years of experience facilitating projects; experience working with multiple clinical and operational functional units and their leadership is required; supervisory / managerial experience helpful; experience managing projects strongly desired
Knowledge of Healthcare Scheduling, Healthcare Staffing and Healthcare Analytics is preferred.
Knowledge of spreadsheet, database, presentation, and word processing software. Knowledge of Nursing, Clinical, Finance, Quality Management, Planning and Administrative theory within a Healthcare setting.
Awareness of JHHS organizational structure and Hospital organizational structure.
JHHS accounting and finance knowledge is preferred.
Experience with both the Business Process analysis and Reporting
High level of interpersonal skill, written and oral communication necessary to interface with various levels of management.
High level of meeting management, computer, teaching / training, organization and time management.
High level of leadership / facilitation, conflict management and negotiation skills.
High level of analytical ability necessary to identify and illustrate relationships among complex activities.
Ability to recommend courses of action based on choices among alternatives.
Strong supervisory and staff development skills preferred.
