The Mine General Supervisor manages the aspects of the underground mine production activities that include adherence to EHS standards and practices, supervision, project management, production, ground control management, employee engagement, employee development and costs. Provide technical knowledge, operation experience and management skills in the coordination of all elements of the underground production operations on a daily/weekly basis. Interface with the maintenance department to attain short and long term asset utilization and availability goals.

High School Diploma/GED or higher degree and 5 or more years mining (surface or underground) experience
Or an Associates or higher degree in engineering with 3 or more years of mining (surface or underground) experience
3 or more years of supervisory experience
Able and willing to work across all operational shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts and occasional weekends on a rotating schedule)
Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and/or Occupational Safety and Health Administation (OSHA) safety statutes
Experience in dealing with ground control management
Basic understanding of sound maintenance practices.
Experience utilizing root cause analysis tools ( 5why, RCA)
Experience in continuous improvement activities such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping
Experience with screen plant operations (crushing, screening, storage).
Ability to develop and execute hands on training programs
Demonstrated commitment, knowledge, experience and success in Environmental, Health and Safety
Experience in mining practices that include extraction and ventilation
Experience managing ground conditions within a mine
Leadership experience with development plans and performance management of team members
Strong verbal and listening communication skills
Basic knowledge of the mining production cycle
