Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Principal Solutions Engineer - AE in Austin, Texas

As a part of North American Field organization, we are looking for a principal solutions engineer with rich experience in SOC verification, validation and emulation. In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Directing, coordinating, implementing and planing the development and design of assigned SOC verification/emulation projects/programs

  • Interfacing with customers to understand their next generation SOC verification and emulation needs.

  • Good hands-on experience of creating test plans and benches, simulating and emulating SOC designs, preferable with CDNS tools suite

  • Work with Customer’s chip-architects, verification managers and engineers to understand what’s needed to induce confidence in them to use CDNS technology

  • Monitoring and analyzing the competition and driving competitive displacement activities expanding CDNS’s footprint

  • Making technical presentations and leading discussions internally as well with the customer

Position Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • BS/MS Engineering or Computer Sciences with 10+ years of SOC verification/validation/emulation experience

  • Rich experience in designing / leading implement ion of complex SOC HW verification and HW/SW co-verification

  • Proven track record in handling high pressure competitive benchmark situations with C-level visibility

  • Expertise in problem-solving and inter-group coordination skills

  • Hands-on knowledge of writing complex uVM/System Verilog test benches

  • Hands-on knowledge of emulating complex SOCs for verification and HW/SW co-verification

  • Ability to lead field applications engineers and product engineers on any given high visibility time-critical project

  • Self driven, organized, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and track personal assignments and commitments through completion

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of CDNS verification technologies (Incisive/Palladium)

  • Build deep technical relationships within CDNS and at the customer base

  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated strong technical leadership and decision making; ability to influence product groups to ensure alignment and product success

  • An outside-the-box thinker with a proven track record

  • Multi-tasker, with good project management skills
