Summary:

Facebook is seeking an Operations Manager to join the Legal Learning & Development team to manage and scale learning operations and associated technologies for the Legal function. This role will be responsible for improving learning operational effectiveness, overseeing a technology roadmap and concurrent implementations, and driving necessary change management with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of how to scale learning operations within a rapidly changing environment and is highly analytical, using data and problem-solving techniques to understand root causes and develop effective solutions. The ideal candidate must also communicate with clarity, simplifying complex topics to accelerate discussions and action, able to quickly establish relationships and work with leadership and colleagues of different skill levels and personality types. They must also be able to manage large-scale initiatives and diverse stakeholders independently, knowing when and how to modify approach to meet objectives, while remaining strategic, technical, and process-oriented.

Required Skills:

  1. Create strategy and appropriate solutions to assess and monitor operational effectiveness

  2. Scale operations team to support a complex and diverse training portfolio growing rapidly year over year

  3. Manage day-to-day responsibilities of operations team with care and accountability for results

  4. Provide oversight for work performed by Learning Shared Services organization and act as primary point of contact to resolve escalations as necessary

  5. Provide leadership and technical direction to build and operate a Legal training technology ecosystem to drive greater scale and efficiency

  6. Oversee and manage the learning technology roadmap and associated implementations

  7. Develop standards and processes that sustain operational effectiveness solutions over time

  8. Represent the Legal function on enterprise wide, critical cross-functional learning projects, including the development of requirements and influencing decisions to achieve team objectives

  9. Continuously evaluate and deliver process improvements and standardization through workflow mapping, design thinking, and gap analysis of learning processes

  10. Design and maintain internal control self assessments and oversee associated audits

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree in business, technology, or related field

  2. 10+ years experience in a HR consulting or an operations and planning role

  3. 5+ years experience managing operational focused teams

  4. Experience working with technical teams (i.e. IT, Engineering, etc.) on technology implementations

  5. Experience working and influencing in a global and cross-functional environment

  6. Problem-solving and process-improvement experience

  7. Stakeholder management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or graduate degree in an learning technology field

  2. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

  3. Learning & Development delivery/operations experience

  4. Experience working with Legal and or Compliance teams

  5. Experience with learning management systems, e.g. Cornerstone and other learning technologies
