Facebook Global Operations Program Manager - Legal Investigations Team in Austin, Texas

Facebook's Compliance, Security and Investigations (CSI) Legal Investigations team is looking for an Operations Project Manager to lead proactive and reactive legal investigations projects. In this role, you'll work primarily with the CSI Legal Investigations team — as well as with cross-function partners on projects — to identify potential safety threats, investigations challenges, and take a data driven approach towards consensus-based solutions with a view on operations. This individual will assist with project management pertaining to metrics, data analytics, investigative tooling, dashboards, and quality assurance with the Legal Investigations team. A successful candidate should ideally have experience working with law enforcement, safety investigations, data querying and analytics skills, as well as possess strong interpersonal and project-management skills. We are seeking an enthusiast and resilient self-starter, passionate about problem solving, who is eager to learn and strives to help others. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker at ease with technical and non-technical matters who can strategically drive the team using macro-level insights, while still caring for micro-level cases affecting people around the globe.

Required Skills:

  1. Partner and support the Legal Investigations team to scale operations, tools and resources with large volume growth while operating in a high risk environment

  2. Use analysis and impact metrics to help the Legal Investigations team develop new strategies and processes that increase operational efficiency while improving investigators' ability to focus on high risk investigations

  3. Liaise with relevant stakeholders to understand safety and how they affect Facebook, Instagram, and our communities, to help the team implement projects that enable us to best serve the company

  4. Manage and operationalize projects that impact CSI operations globally

  5. Help the CSI Legal Investigations teams improve capabilities to pull data for business intelligence and reporting

  6. Communicate effectively with key cross-functional partners both within and outside of the CSI org, including Operations, LE Legal, Outreach, Engineering teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders during project life cycles

  7. Develop program schedules based on requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times and business needs

  8. Ensure program documents are complete, current, aligned with the Legal Investigations team's priorities, and be available for staff and leadership review

  9. Foresee challenges before they arise, create plans to manage the tasks and alleviate risks, and pitch in to execute those plans as needed

  10. Address sensitive content issues, including but not limited to graphic images, videos and writings, offensive or derogatory language, and other objectionable material

  11. Manage projects to improve automation, case prioritization, tooling, and quality assurance efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years’ experience in a legal operations environment

  2. Proven and demonstrated operational excellence experience

  3. Project management experience

  4. Solving problems, time management, and organizational experience

  5. Experience adapting, learning skill sets and gaining knowledge of operational challenges

  6. Project management, communication and interpersonal experience, including relationship building and “roll-up the sleeves” type of collaboration within a global, cross-functional team

  7. Experience thinking under pressure, both individually and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with SQL, Excel, Python, and data analysis tools

  2. French, Spanish or Arabic fluency

  3. Experience working with graphic content

  4. Experience developing quality assurance programs

  5. Experience working in safety investigations

  6. Experience building team dashboards
