Facebook Business Planning and Operations Manager - North America Sales in Austin, Texas

Summary:

Facebook is seeking a high caliber business leader to join the North America Business Planning and Operations team. The mission of the Business Planning and Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization through strategic planning analytics, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth while supporting the operational cadence to surface business insights. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in the technology and media spaces, intellectually curious, a fast learner, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity and working independently, able to focus on the details while thinking strategically, and with management experience. This is a full-time position located in our Austin office. The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his/her sleeves. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. He/she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Prior experience supporting stakeholders will be critical to success.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead a team of Business Planning and Operations professionals

  2. Partner with Vice President of North America Scaled business on all business strategy, planning and operations

  3. Develop a deep understanding of the market/vertical dynamics and implications for Facebook’s sales strategy

  4. Drive streamlined and efficient processes (e.g., goal setting, portfolio selection, revenue reporting) to further streamline rhythm of the business

  5. Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on revenue performance

  6. Support VP by coordinating cross-regional processes (e.g., budget/headcount asks, other tailored regional asks), communication and forums

  7. Partner with HR BP on organizational reviews

  8. Support and appropriately challenge business decisions and ensure they are in line with the global sales organization’s priorities and FB’s best interests overall

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field)

  2. 15+ years of work experience in Sales Finance, Sales Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, or 13+ years experience with MBA/Master’s degree

  3. Experience leading sales strategy and operations projects at a consulting firm or in a corporate strategy/sales operations team

  4. Experience leading and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  5. Knowledge of organizational dynamics, operating experience with organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field

  2. Change management experience

  3. Knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau
