The Merchandise Supervisor in Training will assist in overseeing all operational and personnel aspects of their assigned Retail Areas. This individual will direct Team Members while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic working environment. This position will maintain communication lines between Team members, Area Supervisors, Managerial, and Full- Time Supervisor. Must work a varied shift and be available Nights, Weekends, and Major Holidays during Park Operation.
Reports To: Area Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Report to area supervisor and serve as a support to area management.
*Assist with shift change, and implementation of break schedules.
*Ensure implementation of all cash handling procedures to ensure compliance by every staff member.
*Ensure that Guest First Service and Safety policies are being followed at all times.
*Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operation of assigned retail location Ensure compliance with all corporate and park policies and procedures.
*Protect and secure all assets, including equipment and merchandise.
*Fully execute company Mantra for Friendly, Clean, Fast, Safe Service.
Monitor proper staffing levels are maintained through proper scheduling and follow up with the Lead supervisors and Full- Time staff.
Carry out any disciplinary measures as necessary to ensure that the Merchandise team follows park policy and procedure each day.
Work with area supervisor and managerial supervisor to monitor damages, orders, and transfers.
The ideal candidate must possess:
Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
Willingness to work in any Retail location or Area
Willingness to work extra hours if needed.
A desire to grow and develop within our department.
In park experience and a retail background is a plus.
Leadership experience or potential to lead a crew.
Strong analytical skill; ability to effectively identify issues and propose solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Must not be afraid to handle money.
Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
A Valid Georgia Drivers License is a plus.
Must be able to walk and stand for up to 6 hours at a time. Applicants must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.
