Professional Research Assistant

Full time Professional Research Assistant (PRA) position is available in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) Anschutz Medical Campus. The position will involve translational research aimed at understanding the role of immunotherapy and receptor tyrosine kinases in tumorigenesis and radio-sensitization of multiple cancer types, including head and neck cancer. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to work independently. Qualified candidates should have a BA or BS, or equivalent degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with a background in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, and/or oncology. Self-motivation, commitment to scientific research, ability to learn new techniques, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Applicant should be proficient with computers. Experience with cell culture, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, PCR and animal models, including handling, colony management, and genotyping, strongly preferred. Position will include conducting research experiments, data analysis and reporting, and other duties as assigned.
