Assistant or Associate Professor

This is a full-time position based at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Duties include clinical care, research, service, and limited teaching responsibilities. Specific responsibilities are participation in and development of a leadership role in the Divisions of Rheumatology and Pulmonary Medicine programs which are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions that have substantial involvement of the lungs. A major focus will continue to be on scleroderma.
_Specific Responsibilities will be as Follows:_
Serve as Director of a newly-created Autoimmune Lung Disease Prevention and
Treatment Program at the University of Colorado Hospital. The primary faculty appointment will be either in the Division of Rheumatology or the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the alternate Division.
Job responsibilities will include clinical practice and clinical program development, including outpatient clinics as well as shared inpatient consultation duties. A proportion of time should be devoted to clinical program development. Depending on interests and expertise, a substantial component of the position could encompass clinical and translational research.
Outpatient clinical duties will be accomplished in the Center for Lungs and Breathing, and will include a pulmonary-centric Scleroderma Clinic.
