Hyatt Human Resources Manager in AUCKLAND, New Zealand

Located among the world’s premier cities and resort destinations, each custom-designed Park Hyatt hotel combines distinct regional character with elegant brand touches. * * About the Role The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for implementing Human Resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and our purpose of caring for others so they can be their best.

The candidate will also be responsible for managing the recruitment and selection and payroll processes, providing expert and timely Human Resources advice to managers and work with them to ensure we retain and develop a highly engaged and motivated team. In addition, ensure all colleagues are aware of their responsibilities in relation to Work Health and Safety and manage all work related injuries.

Some of the responsibilities include: * Develop HR strategies and administer HR policies and procedures_ * Strong background in employment, employee relations, benefits, wage and salary, employee training, accident prevention, and government regulations and policies as they impact HR * Support operational efforts through proper staffing and training of associates_ * Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people both internal and external * Plans and coordinates employee functions, suggestion program, etc. * Take an active role in professional HR organisations__ * Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures * The ability to create a positive first impression and be able to connect with others through empathy

Qualifications:
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office * Will possess an appreciation for working with multi-cultural workforces of differing education levels * Experience working in a Human Resources environment * Completed Hospitality or Human Resources Diploma or Degree * Experience of working in hotel-related operational positions * Proven leadership skills * Must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills A career with Hyatt opens a world of opportunities.
