Description Description JOB SUMMARY: Support the administrative requirements of the project and organization. Assist with preparing bids for various federal agencies located across the United States by working closely with the estimating teams. Periodically work with highly sensitive, private and confidential personal information and records. Accordingly, this position must at all times uphold and preserve this confidentiality and secure and safeguard all records. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Assist estimators in procuring bids and qualifying subcontractors * Contact subcontractors to: o Verify RFP documents have been received and reviewed o Build rapport and stimulate interest in bidding on our projects o Confirm that they are going to bid on our project * Obtains telephone quotes for materials and services * Assist on bid day * Prepare bid books * Assist in Estimate Closeout * Subcontractor Database Management o Set up invitations to bid o Upload documents o Manage subcontractor profiles * Provide general administrative support * Provide all other clerical assistance * Write and edit correspondence and other documents * Filing/organization * Assist Estimators in preparing bid documents * Assist in coordinating badging requirements for site visits * Data entry * Other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: * One year of relevant work experience * Organized and self-motivated * Excellent communication skills * Proficiency with MS Office Suite * Construction experience a plus, but not necessary * Government project experience a plus, but not necessary if other commercial experience is sufficient. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to forty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
