Part-Time Home Energy AuditorWestern NJ area (Camden) to eastern area (Atlantic City) and south.
To support our growth, we are seeking part-time employees to assist our staff in conducting Quick-Home Energy checkups within the Atlantic City Electric (ACE) service territory.
New hires will accompany staff and install energy-saving light bulbs, showerheads, faucet aerators, and other energy-saving devices. This job is NOT a sales position – all ACE customers receive these energy-saving light bulbs, etc. free-of-charge. Customers eagerly welcome our staff into their homes because we immediately save them energy and money.
Paid on-the-job training and all tools are provided.
This position requires flexibility. The new hire will receive at least 2-weeks advance notice of an upcoming job requirement. A typical job will last from 2 to 5 days during the week (no weekend work) starting at 8:30am and finishing around 4:30pm. There may be work one week but not again for several weeks.
High School Diploma
Ability to lift boxes no heavier than 30 pounds, climb stairs, use/carry 4-foot light-weight ladders, and crouch in tight areas
Good with hand tools: wrench, pliers, screwdriver, etc. (all tools provided)
Must have a driver’s license, a vehicle, and a clean driving record
Must be willing to have a background check and take a drug test
Part-time availability Monday – Friday
Ability to get along with all kinds of people: kids through seniors
Ability to speak Spanish (a real plus but not required).
