Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

CDF Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) provided $47 billion in financing for more than 50,000 dealers and more than 4,000 distributors and manufacturers globally in 2015. CDF provides inventory financing solutions, service and intelligence through in-depth industry expertise and commitment. Programs include inventory and accounts receivable financing, asset-based lending, private label financing, and related financial products.

This Inventory Finance Relationship Consultant 2 will be responsible for Special Assets Group accounts, with special emphasis on the Motorsports accounts.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Creative solutions to resolution of problem assets. Avoid preventable loan losses by demonstrating leadership towards thorough and proactive portfolio monitoring, grade changes and problem loan management, and showing sound judgment and decision making.

  • Credit analysis (quality and timeliness of judgment) by exhibiting credit acumen and skills.

  • Knowledge of legal and bankruptcy rules and requirements impacting problem loan management.

  • Thorough understanding an application of prescribed CDF specific risk procedures and all policies and procedures used to comply with all rules and regulations, including, but not limited to escalation of breaches of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk and Compliance regulations, standards and policies and procedures.

  • Communication and presentation skills (written and oral) to timely and effectively communicate issues/strategies on problem loan accounts to senior risk management and all other stakeholders.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial finance underwriting, portfolio management, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or higher

  • Knowledge of finance products to include loans, leases and equity investments

  • Experience with small business lending

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to the banking industry

  • Good analytical and quantitative analysis skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

  • Customer service experience
