Kforce Systems Administrator in Atlanta, Georgia

Kforce has a client in search of a Systems Administrator in Atlanta, GA.Position Responsibilities:Systems Administration - 50%:

  • Monitor all production systems for quality and performance, ensuring that any failures or critical issues are addressed immediately

  • Support scheduled installations, upgrades, backups and maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures and business requirements

  • Perform in-depth analysis of recurring incidents to initiate a Problem Report; Work with the IT Team to assist in further investigations and resolutions

  • Partner with key IT vendors to manage renewals, negotiate pricing, and/or install new products

  • Be able to support on-call duties as needed

Helpdesk Support - 30%:

  • Provide high-level tier-2 support via phone, IM, email or remote session; maintain communications with users through analysis and resolution processes

  • Support overflow for tier-1 support, as needed

  • Record requests, incidents and status information using the support ticketing system

  • Perform installations, configurations, and repairs on desktops, laptops, servers, printers and networking hardware

  • Be able to support on-call duties as needed

Process Improvement - 20%:

  • In collaboration with IT Team and local field offices, evaluate and analyze existing technology programs and services; Draft, propose and implement changes leading to best practice operations

  • Execute IT infrastructure improvement projects, including but not limited to, vendor negotiations, software upgrades, hardware upgrades, process automation, and security improvements

  • Partner with field offices, Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing to support the technological aspect of their key initiatives

  • Develop and maintain written departmental policies and procedures

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field, required

  • Minimum 5 years of systems administration experience, required

  • Minimum 2 years of end-user support and incident management experience, required

  • Experience with fundamentals of IP, TCP, UDP, WiFi, and Ethernet; familiarity with common application protocols like DNS, HTTP, and FTP, required

  • MCSE, Server preferred

  • Experience managing and supporting Azure AD, Azure Files, SharePoint and Office 365 suite, preferred

  • Experience with Remedy software products, preferred

  • Experience with Windows (Server 2012 ) and Linux server operating systems, preferred

  • Experience with non-AD LDAP and integration with 3rd party vendors, preferred

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Ubiquiti and Cisco hardware is preferred

  • Experience with email migrations and hosted exchange environments preferred

  • Exposure to basic web development (Python, PHP) and database administration (PostgreSQL), preferred
