Position Overview:

The Equipment Strategic Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of specific category strategies, to support Foodservice & On Premise's (FSOP) business and equipment strategies, for the principle capital equipment and accessories used in our customers' outlets.

Function Specific Activities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements/needs, and formulate procurement category strategies to meet those needs

  • Lead collaborative sourcing events with active coordination and participation from key leadership stakeholders; develop recommendations and gain leadership consensus

  • Draft, negotiate and execute commercial contracts including master supply & services agreements and statements of work

  • Establish supplier stewardship regimen to ensure comprehensive engagement with suppliers; tying together leadership in equipment operations, parts supply, R&D, and engineering support; to drive improved supplier performance through metrics and joint objectives

  • Make recommendations to secure supply, reduce costs, improve delivery and development services while leveraging CCNA Foodservice purchasing power

  • Ensure collaboration with North America bottlers as represented by Coca-Cola Bottlers Sales & Service (CCBSS)

  • Represent CCNA FSOP's interests as an active member of the CEPG global system procurement consortium

  • Effectively communicate across the organization with executive levels and operational management, and confirm Procurement is meeting the goals and objectives of CCNA FSOP on equipment supply, quality and innovation

  • The position requires understanding of, and experience in the use of the procurement process and best practices including developing market/industry analysis, supplier analysis, total cost of ownership analysis, sourcing strategy and supplier strategy development

  • Hands-on experience in sourcing, including all phases of the supply cycle pre-planning/basic sourcing strategy, supplier selection, execution of supply plans, evaluation of results and supplier performance, strategy review/renewal and execution of contracts

  • A consistent track record of achieving outstanding business results in a range of circumstances (Examples: different products and services; strong and weak markets; different supplier sizes and types of relationships; etc.)

  • A demonstrated depth and breadth of understanding of the core work of Procurement (sourcing strategies and supplier relationships), the tools of strategic sourcing, and how they are applied effectively to produce intended results

  • Actual experiences in the successful business application of all the technical sourcing skills (Examples are: sourcing strategy development, leading negotiation plan development and execution, market/supplier/industry analysis, competitive bidding, supplier relationship management strategy development, and client relationship management)

  • Solid analytical thought processes, both qualitative and quantitative

  • Solid analytical thought processes seeing the significant elements in a situation, gathering relevant data, reaching sound conclusions, using data and intuition/experience

  • Solid understanding of Procurement's work and Procurement Standards with the ability to describe these effectively to others

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • GLOBAL SOURCING: Understand category supply markets and associated supply base to effectively source parts & services from each region of the world and specific low-cost countries.

  • STRATEGY: Create, secure leadership support and steward comprehensive category strategy supporting business requirements.

  • CONTRACTING: Negotiate acceptable contractual terms with all suppliers in the category to include intellectual property rights, warranties, liabilities, representations, termination, etc; to ensure full protection of the Company.

  • ANALYSIS: Perform detailed analyses of suppliers' costs, by scrutinizing detailed cost breakdowns of components to identify and challenge gaps in process time, raw material costs, labor rates, tooling costs and set-up timeā€”all to drive competition at the lowest-cost level, before conducting negotiations and choosing the best value offering to recommend to the business.

  • COST MANAGEMENT: Quarterly negotiations, continual bid events, & business-case costing for new innovation.

  • This position is responsible for collaborating with functional leadership in Manufacturing and Engineering to understand the business and technical needs of a given component or assembly and then provide business-critical information for any contract, spend, supply continuity concerns and gain input to development of, and ensure support of procurement/supply category strategy.

  • This position must establish necessary routines to manage suppliers' quality, lead-time, price and delivery performance in support of the program.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree; MBA

  • Technical category procurement in Fluidics, Metals, Plastics or Electronics

  • Contract Manufacturing / High Tech industry experience

  • Global experience
