Across multiple energy-intensive industries, the business provides customers with end-to-end product and service solutions that help ensure the reliability and protection of their electrical infrastructure.The EHS Manager responsible for implementation and supervision of EPIS EHS programs for field services operations.2019-02-04Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience) Tasks: The primary responsibilities for the EHS Manager include: * Provide EHS Leadership to the EPIS US South & US West Field Services' organization. * Evaluate EHS risks and challenges for new projects and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies; * Develop and review completed site-specific safety plans with project management and customers; * Assist in selection and training of job sites based personnel; * Manage any EHS issues that may arise during activities at customer sites and partners; * Perform frequent EHS audits; * Assist in develop and update EHS programs and procedures ensuring compliance with all local regulations and GE requirements; * Coordinate and provide training for EPIS Regional Field Services employees; * Manage environmental impacts of operations; * Investigate safety/environmental incidents conducting root cause analysis and driving implementation of corrective actions; * Liaise with government agencies on EHS issues; * Keep close contacts with EHS HQ. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: * Degree in EHS, engineering or other EHS-related field * Minimum 5 years of EHS experience including operations at customers job sites Preferred Qualifications: * Excellent leadership and communication skills * Knowledge of local EHS regulations and of most widely used international standards; * Fluent French & English, written and verbal. * Experience in highly regulated environments. * Willingness to travel up to 40 % working time within region * Prior experience operationalizing safety, health and compliance programs * Strong oral and written communication skills * Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills * Ability to lead process implementation in a team environment * Strong team player * Ability to influence and motivate employees, supervisors, management and contractors to meet GE EHS goals * Know ledge of EHS requirements and compliance implementation experience * Proficient know ledge of regional regulatory framework * Know ledge (experience) of EHS Management systems Additional information Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at ABB ABB is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
