As the Account Manager Client Service – Atlanta, GA , you will manage matrix - heavy processes as you partner with the assigned Strategic Account Executive to bring the benefits of UnitedHealthcare Group Retiree Solutions to our Public Sector and Labor customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project manages short term client needs, being detail orientated and proactively thinking

  • Facilitate the back office administrative duties such as examples; populating Salesforce, Calendars, Folders, responding to emails, being punctual on turning in projects and assignments, completing expense reports, completing necessary trainings often while being self - starting and working most of the time independently

  • Building relationships as your customers’ key point of contact for UnitedHealthcare by communicating with our clients and retiree’s internally via phone, WebEx and email as well as externally by public speaking, presenting, and facilitating many types of meetings for the client as well as the retirees onsite

  • Independent travel is often required for these meetings

  • Serve as the primary day to day service contact for our customers. Must understand and manage customer expectations and service needs by building and maintaining positive relationships (both internal and external) and by delivering quality service; thereby enhancing UnitedHealthcare’s reputation in the industry

  • Public speaking and event management. Deliver Presentations at Open Enrollment Meetings for crowds of varying size, set up tables or event booths, order materials, ship materials, while coordinating with local event planner and training assistance if needed

  • Ensure seamless, complete and accurate Health Fair and Open Enrollment activity for customers by coordinating enrollment meetings and the ordering of enrollment materials

  • Create customer specific presentations and train vendors for OE meetings

  • Build a strong working partnership with the Strategic Account Executive (SAE) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

  • Align on internal and external customer and URS goals

  • Provide consultative services to clients to address service delivery needs by listening for the need behind the need and solving for that real need

  • Manage all service related issues on assigned book of business. Investigate, research, and resolve concerns presented by the customer and Account Management Team (AMT) members

  • Identify trends and develop customer specific solutions in collaboration with cross-functional team’s expertise

  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of client communications (correspondence, network and product updates, fulfillment materials, ID cards, etc.)

  • Partner with the sales and other internal partners to ensure smooth and effective implementations

  • Attend and participate in customer meetings and open enrollment events

  • Lead effective meetings with customers, vendors and matrix partners as necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 5+ years of account management experience

  • 2+ years of healthcare industry experience

  • Active License in resident State for Accident & Health OR the ability obtain it within 90 days of employment

  • Experience creating presentations and presenting in front of large sized groups

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within Georgia

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)

  • Public Sector and / or labor experience

  • Knowledge of health insurance industry, products and services and the managed care environment (Knowledge of Medicare)

  • Technical knowledge (claims, eligibility and contracts)
