All flowloops are operated by skilled operators and test engineers supported by process experts to ensure our clients can perform their qualification programs at the most realistic oilfield conditions in the shortest possible time.

Job purpose

As a Senior Lab Analist you perform all available analyses on samples from LP and HP loop test setups, you will train new (junior) lab technicians, you will introduce and implement new methodologies in the analytical laboratory and you will be replacing the Lab Manager when needed.

Safety, quality, results and responsibility for keeping safety and quality are at a high standard.

You will be responsible for

  • Characterization analysis: OiW, WiO, density, viscosity, etc.

  • Training of new (junior) lab technicians

  • Responsible for maintaining high safety (i.e. harmonized labeling, keeping lists of chemicals, CMRs and Sulzer prohibited substances updated, use of PPEs and making sure that the analytical laboratory is compliant) and quality standards in the analytical laboratory

  • As Instrument Expert responsible for analytical equipment (i.e. maintenance and qualification of the systems, internal or external, and making sure that the systems are functioning correctly)

  • Introducing and implementing new methodologies for fluid characterization according to ISO/ASTM standards

  • Suggest and implement improvements in the analytical laboratory

  • Taking samples in the test loops if necessary

  • Proactive in reporting near misses, incidents and accidents

  • Review of English reports (e.g. written for clients)

  • Replacing the Lab Manager when needed

  • Awareness for the environmental protection and commitment to reduce impact on the environment (energy, waste, water consumption)

Your qualifications and competences are:

  • BSc in analytical chemistry

  • An eye for detail and quality

  • Proactive (also in sharing knowledge and information)

  • Accurate

  • Independent

  • Methodical

  • Interpretation capacity

  • Excellent language skills (speaking and writing): Dutch and English

  • 5+ years in industry

You will be employed full time of which 100% within the analytical laboratory.
