Nestle Finance Manager - Cost Center Control & Analysis in Arlington, Virginia
The Manager Cost Center Control & Analysis will provide financial partnership to Marketing and Other General Expense (MOGE), Globe ISIT, and Medical Sales (PFME) functions by management of cost center budgets, including variance analysis of actual expense against budget/forecast as well as the development of monthly forecast and the annual plan. Responsible for tracking and auditing 500 headcount to ensure alignment with HR partners and the Infant LeadershipTeam Members.
Perform monthly closing activities related to Cost Centers:
Monitor and record accruals to ensure the P&L properly reflects expenses that have been incurred or should be accrued.
Maintain all necessary documentation supporting recorded transactions.
Accountable for tracking actual vs. budget expenses for the responsible department heads; provide variance analysis and commentary, and solicit future spending projection for inclusion in forecasts.
Maintain balance sheet account reconciliation on a period basis.
Manage Annual Cost Center Budgeting process, reporting requirements/submissions with Nutrition CC Owners and business segments. Consolidates the submissions and perform analytics to ensure integrity of data. Liaise with CC Owners and various business segments to understand key drivers/inhibitors of performance.
Lead the collection of the latest estimate of Cost Center spending to reflect current spending trends/business needs for inclusion in monthly dynamic forecast.
Primary backup for all interactions with NUSA Costing Center of Competence (CCC) regarding OCM process. Ensure that OCM allocations are properly reflected in the P&L and reconciled. Assist in issue resolution related to the allocation process. Subject matter expert for allocations to/from NUSA/NBS and other businesses. Proactively identify ways to improve processes, including developing/enhancing reporting capabilities/analytics for: Cost Center reporting, Headcount tracking, T&E spend and Ad-hoc reporting requirements. Generate new ideas, processes and reports to meet business needs and perform ad hoc special projects and analysis as needed.
Responsible for tracking and auditing headcount to ensure alignment with HR partners and the Infant Leadership Team Members.
Assist in the maintenance of the Hyperion Planning application in support of Cost Center Reporting; including process documentation, reports maintenance, testing of upgrades/enhancements, and end-user support.
• A Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or Accounting preferred.
• MBA degree or CPA a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of well rounded relevant Finance experience.
• Thorough understanding of standard accounting principles.
• General Ledger and internal control experience.
