SAIC Deputy Program Manager in ARLINGTON, Virginia


SAIC has a contingent opportunity for a Deputy Program Manager to support the Army Sharp Ready and Resilient Directorate Training Support contract. This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located in Arlington, VA.

The Deputy Program Manager is responsible for successful delivery of the program tasks and deliverables to the SHARP, Ready and Resilient (SR2) Directorate managing the performance of all tasks and/or projects through all five phases of program management (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring/Control, and Closure/Completion). Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. Define or contribute to the program baseline then execute the program to comply with baseline requirements. Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing. Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership. Support business development and program staff management.

General Position Execution Expectations:

Primary role as Deputy PM is as the Chief of Staff in support of SAIC contract headquarters in the SR2 area of operations (Currently the Taylor Building in Crystal City, VA).

Manages performance requirements to the program baseline.

Reports to the Program Manager.

Oversees thirteen direct reports on the staff including the direct supervision of the Training Analysts (3); Distance Learning Specialists (2); Curriculum Developers (4) Public Affairs Analysts (3) and the Knowledge Manager (1).

Possesses the ability to lead and manage generally independent of supervision from outside leadership.

Supports all phases of personnel management from recruiting, hiring, developing, strategically leading, and as necessary disciplining all employees on the contract.

Overall responsible for successful program execution across all dimensions of leadership in the absence of the PM.



Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related military experience; Masters is preferred.


Must have an active Secret clearance
