Thecandidate will execute Systems Engineering activities related to obsolescenceupgrades, Radar development/implementation, software development, weaponsintegration and FFG(X) for Naval Aviation acquisition programs. Thecandidate will also serve as technical liaison and trusted advisor to NAVAIR toprovide management for system interface requirements to related NavalAviation/USMC programs.
Support Advanced Sensor Technologies programoffice in performing systems engineering on the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS)and Littoral Surveillance Radar System (LSRS) projects.This is a large program that draws fromvarious MITRE operating centers in providing all aspects of systemsengineering.
Assist in planning, development, andimplementation of program milestones, coordination of technical informationgathering and drafting of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), InterfaceDocumentation, Specifications, and Technical Review materials
Evaluate sensor data in order to assess systemperformance.
Quantify technical, cost and schedule riskbased on design trades.
Ensure contractor design is in full compliancewith System Specifications.
Requirements development and analysis, systemtrades, test data analysis, and verification of systemconfiguration/performance.
BS and five years of relatedexperience.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances
Bachelor’sdegree in SE or relevant discipline and 5 years experience in DoD acquisition programs
Strong background in systems engineering andrequirements development & management
Demonstrated experience in performing analyticalwork
Excellentverbal and written communications skills. Ability to work in team environment with people at varying levels
Maintain a Top Secret level security clearance
Technical knowledge of NAVAIR Program structuresand engineering processes
Naval/Naval Aviation Domain knowledge/experience
Experienceon very large, technically complex real-time and/or weapon systems.
Government/DOD experience with systemsacquisition and development
