Circuit Design Technology Consultant

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform DoD microelectronics research. As a circuit design technology analyst, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to supporting DoD’s project by executing research and development in microelectronics. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to help DoD project investigate and evaluate new research ideas, assess technical performance, and communicate potential benefits.

Serve as a strategic technical consultant for high risk Government-funded research and development programs in advanced microelectronics in areas such as integrated circuit design and verification, advanced materials and devices, and hardware security. Work with world-class scientists and engineers at the DoD’s project to impact national security investments through the development of cutting-edge technologies. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior DoD decision makers. Maintain responsibilities in producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, including assisting with the management of current programs, and assessing the current program results to impact on real-world applications.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with physics, electrical engineering, CS, or computer engineering

  • 2+ years of experience with circuit design

  • 2+ years of experience in authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • MA or MS degree in Physics, EE, CS, or Computer Engineering and 2+ years of experience with research and development or PhD degree in Physics, EE, CS, or Computer Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with industry standard circuit design, layout, verification, and emulation tools

  • Experience with DoD research and development projects

  • Experience with custom integrated circuit layout for digital, analog, and mixed–signal designs

  • Experience in working with major EDA tools and vendors

  • Experience with chip–level integration and application–specific intelligence community design

  • Experience with testing, evaluating, and debugging intelligence community designs in a lab environment

  • Experience with technical project or program management

  • Possession of excellent client service skills

  • Active Secret clearance
