This comprehensive program provides selected high-caliber college graduates with the hands-on experience and knowledge essential to begin a successful career in the area of Finance & Control in Nestlé USA.

The Finance & Control Professional Development “Rotation” Program is a 3 ½ year training program that develops participants’ technical knowledge and skills in various finance roles that span manufacturing, operations, supply chain, sales and corporate finance. Our program offers two development opportunity paths:

  1. Manufacturing Operations Finance Path – provides training and development focusing on the areas of manufacturing costing and operations.

  2. General Finance & Control Path – provides training and development focusing on a broader view of the role of finance across multiple finance functions.

Training focuses on understanding day-to-day processes, business unit strategies, and how finance plays a key role in cost management across the organization. From product manufacturing through financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, trainees will gain hands-on experience and understand core functions, operations and processes. Completion of this program puts the trainee on a path for future leadership positions in Nestlé USA Finance & Control.

This highly sought-after Finance & Control Development Program is comprehensive, interactive and strategically integrated into the vision and culture of Nestlé USA Finance & Control. Manufacturing Operations Finance Path:

This program begins with an 18-month rotation at a Nestlé manufacturing facility in the United States. Participants gain a broad foundational understanding of factory processes, key factory functions and the role of finance and accounting in a manufacturing facility. Upon completion of the first rotation, trainees will be relocated to a Headquarter site (Arlington, VA, Solon, OH, or Oakland, CA) to complete a 12-month assignment in Operations Finance. Here, the trainee will gain an understanding of the role of key functions that support manufacturing. Trainees will then complete their training with a 12-month rotation in another factory or area of operations where they will be able to fully apply the foundational knowledge and technical expertise developed in the first two rotations to achieve and improve business results.

General Finance & Control Path:

This program begins with an 18-month rotation at a Nestlé manufacturing facility in the United States. Participants gain a broad foundational understanding of factory processes, key factory functions and the role of finance and accounting in a manufacturing facility. Upon completion of the first rotation, trainees will be relocated to a Headquarter site (Arlington, VA, Solon, OH, or Oakland, CA) to complete a 12-month assignment in a corporate finance role. These roles span areas such as Management Reporting & Analysis, Overhead Cost Management, Audit, Sales Finance or Supply Chain Finance. Here, the trainee will gain an understanding of the role of key functions that provide oversight, governance and business insights to the business units. Trainees may be relocated once again to complete their training with a 12-month rotation in a business unit where they will be able to fully apply the foundational knowledge and technical expertise developed in the first two rotations. In this role, trainees will support a brand and partner with its cross-functional team to achieve and improve business results.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field completed by June 2019 or

5th year Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field to be completed by June 2019

Preferred Requirements:

Related majors include Economics, Business, Math, Operations and Industrial Engineering

Have completed, or plan to complete, Accounting Courses up to and including Intermediate Accounting (or equivalent)

GPA of 3.00 and above

Additional Requirements:

Willing to relocate for initial 18-month assignment to a designated Nestlé Manufacturing site within the United States

Willing to relocate up to 3 times over the duration of the program

Sponsorship for work visas are not available for this program
