Owens & Minor Senior Packaging Operator - 2nd in Arden, North Carolina
To assemble a quality product in an efficient manner; maybe trained to ensure assembly and packaging of a quality product in an efficient manner providing the ability to assist with the training of others on the products and the production process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Works well with others in a team environment.
2.Properly loads and packages products on the machines as assigned; may help organize and plan work flow by assisting with line clearance and changeovers.
3.Inspects components for visible defects during the load and packaging process; with experience in the role, the operator has the ability to Inspect product for visual defects during the loading and packaging process and to identify product defects and question product quality.
4.Meets or exceeds production efficiency standards on a regular basis; more experienced operators exceed production efficiency standards on a regular basis
5.Rotates loading positions as required
6.Participates in team meetings, TPMs and production training
7.Is a positive contributor to all team goals
8.Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies
9.Assures adherence to SOPs's GMP & ISO policies
10.Properly accounts for time and attendance by entering the correct codes as directed
11.Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
More experienced operators may do the following:
12.Understand and enforce spatial separation and product movement requirements
13.Rotate positions as required including back up for the Team Auditor
14.Accurately count and determine information necessary to confirm production in SAP system
15.Assist with training of new team members
16.Work on multiple production lines
17.Participate in process problem solving and solutions
18.Support TPM and all operations improvements
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Performs additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.Computer experience preferred
