Northrop Grumman Staff Cyber Systems Engineer - TTO Lead in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer TTO Lead to join our team in Annapolis Junction. This position will provide system engineering leadership to support an operations team. The candidate will work closely with customer leadership on a large team.

The candidate will also be responsible for proactive and reactive engagement with the systems that query the warehouses. The candidate will support the teams to provide proper training/documentation, and ensure they are using the warehouse infrastructure to successfully support their mission, and not harm the state of the systems.

Duties: Daily user metric analysis and reporting; Build user community/analytic use cases and tie them to performer profiles; Help develop mechanisms to measure and monitor use cases for performance; Work with use cases and system touch metrics to compare data usage patterns versus data ingested; Document user community use cases and analytic workflow; Document and optimize high level Operations use cases; Create/maintain use case documentation and create processes; Help bridge the gap between backend performance and UI workflow; Help prioritize and document system changes; Identify analyst workflow issues and work with EDO to make improvements; Help bridge the gap between analyst, external developers, and the warehouse; Work with GovCloud Outreach & Engagement; Update CSD documentation and SOPs, Document work in tickets and escalate as appropriate; Mentor/Train CSD personnel; Prepare/Present CSD metrics and provide input; Prepare, coordinate and disseminate system health messaging; Submit operational change documentation to support OCB's and UCB's; Support and provide support to post mortems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in a technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of Systems Engineering experience; additional four (4) years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree

  • Experience working with Operation use of MWS tools

  • Experience in a customer-facing role

  • Experience with metric analysis and reporting/profiling using warehouse metrics

  • Experience building user community/analytic use cases

  • Experience developing mechanisms to measure and monitor use cases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Systems engineering lead, software engineering lead or top level contributor on mission critical 24 by 7 SIGINT production systems in one or a combination of the following areas:

  • Voice or video processing systems requiring ingest of multiple audio and video formats, playback to end users, storage, and retrieval

  • Transcription systems requiring input, synchronization and linkage with original content, storage and retrieval Field deployable voice processing systems including data capture of multiple audio formats playback, ingest, storage and retrieval

  • Average ingest storage, content search and retrieval of 500GB/day or more of multilingual text
