This is an entry-level position that assists with various IT and related functions as needed. Employee will perform IT support and assist with IT purchasing and inventory control work. Work requires monitoring the help desk queues and responding to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for support. The Help desk Specialist will perform upgrades or replacement of hardware and software systems and related requests. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches and may resolve technical and related problems. Update the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and knowledge base for possible solutions. There is considerable data entry and use of various computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs. Other duties may include researching product availability, costs, and securing quotes for software and hardware. Maintains paperwork for requisitions, purchase orders, packing slips, and for goods ordered and received.
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-6years of IT and/or facility related experience preferred.
Basic understanding of PC Hardware and Software, Windows OS
A+ certification or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must currently posses a Top secret SCI Poly clearance and keep the ability to maintain that clearance.
Must be able to work alone and independently without supervision on assignedtasks
Experience with Active Directory.
