We are seeking technical candidates with a strongcomputer science, software engineering, or electrical engineering education andbackground to join a systems engineering and research team focused on reverseengineering activities in support of our High Level sponsors. You should havehands-on experience in software analysis, design; software/hardware reverse engineering;a wide variety of cyber systems including embedded systems, infrastructuredevices, associated system protocols, and analysis of edge computing devices. Youwill be integrated into a selected team to perform in-depth systems analysis ofa wide variety of systems including mobile devices, embedded systems,infrastructure devices, weapons systems, and associated system protocols. Youmust have the ability to identify vulnerabilities in systems. The systemsanalysis activities include cyber system and protocol research, hardware and/orsoftware reverse engineering, and the documentation of findings andrecommendations. The viability and potential impact of the findings will oftenrequire team members to develop proof-of-concept exploitations based onidentified vulnerabilities.

Key Functions:

  • Given a targetcommunications device, use reverse engineering tools and methods to determinevulnerabilities of the device for information assurance purposes.

  • Initial stepsinclude studying how the device operates, configuring it, determining how itboots/initializes, and obtaining a binary that can be used for reverseengineering.

  • Goals for thereverse engineering effort include identifying the function that respond tonetwork connections requests, understanding internal communications mechanisms,outlining the general structure of the system software, and determining howsystem state is altered/saved.

  • On conclusion,project deliverables will be a report and presentation summarizing what waslearned.


Positions Requirements: TS/SCI with Polygraph, BS Degree, and 2-5 years' related experience.
