CACI is looking for an enthusiastic Database Management Specialist in the MD area. Join the CACI team to help plan database upgrades by maintaining , evaluating, and improving a transaction processing model.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide technical expertise in the use of Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
Perform software engineering and systems analysis to support design, development, test, configuration, and integration of new or modified large-scale relational database systems.
Analyze and develop computer software processing a wide range of capabilities, including data warehouse technologies, business data model, Executive Information Management, and Decision Support System.
More About the Role:
Analyze user interfaces.
Maintain hardware and software performance tuning,
Analyzes workload and computer usage.
Maintains interfaces with outside systems, and analyzes proposed system modifications, upgrades and new commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) products.
Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user level documentation.
Perform database administration (DBA) services including installation, configuration, administration, performance monitoring, tuning, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for operational and developmental databases.
Provide database design, client/server integration, database modeling, and support for systems under development.
Coordinate functional design and system architecture issues between parties involved in the development process.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and three years direct experience in the last five years, or at least ten years of general experience of which seven years of directly related experience.
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline IAT Level I or Level II certification.
ITIL Foundations certification required. must be current or able to be obtain within 90 days of start date.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering),
Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP).
