Raytheon Contracts Manager in Andover, Massachusetts
The Raytheon Missile Systems Advanced Missile Defense Systems (AMDS) Mission Area is seeking a contracts manager in the Northeast to expand relationships with industry partners and multiple USG agencies to advance important homeland defense missions. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Director, AMDS Contracts with responsibility for strategic integration, management and administration of new development efforts in AMDS and contract administration for ongoing customer programs. The successful candidate’s duties will include a lead role in integration of new contracts within AMDS, Request for Proposal (RFP) assessment, capture and proposal strategy, contract negotiation, customer engagement and collaboration, and contract administration. The successful applicant will be the primary customer interface for business and contracting matters. The selected candidate will advise management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks. This role primarily operates from Andover, MA, with domestic travel required. The role is contingent upon program award, expected in Q4 2018. The successful candidate must have a track record of success in domestic Department of Defense (DoD) contracting including experience collaborating with industry partners. The successful candidate must possess a firm knowledge of terms and conditions, FAR/DFARS, and risk mitigation during a program lifecycle. The successful candidate will be expected to have the prerequisite skills and experience to represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions, with strong communication skills to liaison with the AMDS team in Tucson. This assignment requires an ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with external and internal customers. Required Skills: 8 or more years of experience in domestic contract administration, including proposal preparation and contract negotiation BA/BS in Business, Finance, or related field ( Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of 2 yrs of experience) A proven track record of success in domestic contracting including terms and conditions, FAR/DFARS, employing policies and procedures, and Risk Mitigation Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements; ability to contribute to negotiation strategy and possess strong negotiation skills Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills, and track record of responsiveness Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust Capable of multitasking and handling several assignments concurrently Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential Ability to provide contractual solutions to both the Customer and Program Team Desired Skills: Computer proficiency, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases Top Secret Security clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret Security clearance MBA or JD Security Clearance This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
