Techtronic Industries North America, Inc. QA Returns Analysis Technician in Anderson, South Carolina

SCOPE:

This position is located at the Anderson facility in the QA Returns Analysis Department. Position will provide in-depth analysis of returns from customers to include problem identification and potential resolution. It will also provide quality related support during special projects. Position will also be responsible for training other personnel as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Education or equivalent with 2+ years of experience preferred.

  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and desirable knowledge of SAP.

  • Mechanical skills to take tools apart and perform analysis of failures.

  • Good communication skills -- both written and verbal.

  • Must wear specified PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, etc., as deemed necessary for the safety of operator, coworkers and facility.

  • Adhere to 5S methodology which is to Sort, Set in Order (organize and identify), Shine (clean), Standardize and Sustain (maintain).

  • Capable of working well in a team environment.

  • Must be knowledgeable of inspection and analyses techniques

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

  • Must possess cooperative attitude toward coworkers and management.

  • Available to work extended shifts and weekends, as needed.

  • Strive for continual improvement in departmental processes and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage use of SAP returns analysis program to perform analysis based on the established inspection plan.

  • Analyze trends and communicate issues to management and reports as required.

  • Visual and mechanical inspection of product and processes to identify root cause and propose corrective actions.

  • Maintain inspection records as needed.

  • Appropriate notification of findings.

  • Assure corrective action is taken as needed when applicable.

  • Develop inspection instructions as needed.

  • Perform system audits to assure procedures are being followed.

  • Gathers data to help support continual improvement activity.
