Ascension Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Behavioral Health Outpatient in Anderson, Indiana

We Are Hiring

LPN - Anderson Center Outpatient Behavioral Health Office Setting- Part-time Days, Monday-Friday days will vary. 8:00am-4:30pm.

The LPN position is working in our outpatient clinic supporting the provider team which includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Licensed Counselors. The LPN works under the direction of the RN and the Medical Director for the Clinic. The LPN is responsible for intake assessments, Vital Signs, triage of all lobby issues/crisis, handling medical issues and questions including questions about medications, prior authorizations, giving injections, performing point of care testing, education of the client, Coordination and Collaboration of care in general. Also includes some clerical duties such as making appointments, making phone calls, contacting insurance companies. Need to be able to be self-directed but also a team player.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to providecare to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.


  • Contributes to the assessment of patients and assures the well-being of patients.

  • Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.

  • Performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services.

  • Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.

What You Will Need


  • Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Providerobtained within6 Months (180 days)of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Practical/Vocational Nursecredentialed from theIndiana Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


  • Diploma

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience Preferred: One year of Behavioral Health experience.
