Trend Micro Strategic Alliance Manager in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost, Netherlands

The Alliances Partner Ecosystem plays an important role in driving business and revenue growth in new strategic business areas for Trend Micro Netherlands by working together with our sales, marketing and our strategic alliances to position Trend Micro’s security solutions and to address our customer’s IT-Security needs within a new partner ecosystem. The objective is to develop alliances with AWS, Microsoft and VMware and grow Trend Micro’s footprint within the partner ecosystems of our strategic alliances.

In this role, the person is responsible to:

  • Identify and recruit new partners for Trend Micro in the ecosystems of Trend Micro’s strategic alliances (Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, VMware,…)

  • Enable these new partners in Trend Micro’s strategic solutions

  • Build, agree and execute joint GTM activities

  • Build, agree and execute joint business plans

  • Achieve business objectives

  • Identify further revenue potentials within these new strategic areas

  • Consult and support our partners in specific sales cycles and market activities

  • Connect the new partners within Trend Micro

  • Provide partner feedback to internal stakeholders such as product management

  • Be a Trend Micro spokesperson on events and fairs

  • Results orientated, able to work and perform under pressure

  • Self-starter and self-motivator despite throwbacks

  • Ability to manage own time and work effort effectively is a requirement for success

  • Quick learner with desire to stay ahead

  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of people

  • Comfortable presenting to a large group / audience at shows and other events

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with little or no instructions under minimal supervision

  • 5+ years in same or similar fields

  • Strong network with AWS and/or Microsoft

  • Track record of sales success

  • A history of regularly achieving or exceeding MBOs or quotas

  • A strong background and affinity to Cloud and Datacenter topics including Infrastructure, Security and Business Models

  • Good knowledge of strategic alliance management

  • Experienced working with other teams inside and outside of own company

  • Proven capability to build relationships at all levels within the new partners

  • Comfortable and confident in working with the top management of these new partners

  • Good technical understanding of Cloud, Datacenter and Security topics
