Diageo Key Account Manager Cash & Carry Benelux in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Job Description :

In this role, as Key Account Manager Benelux On Trade Cash & Carry and Foodservice you will have major importance in realizing our long term business objectives for the Benelux Cash & Carry and Foodservice market. You will capitalize on the momentum and play a key role in our ambition to win the On Trade channel. This role will have a full responsibility of the Benelux Cash & Carry and Foodservice customers reporting into the Sales Manager On Trade, significant share of P&L responsibility within channel. Diageo is owning category championship in this channel by establishing winning partnerships with our customers. We have started a journey that moved our business results and On Trade footprint from customer collaboration to strategic joint business planning: we now aim for the next step by winning distribution (3rd partner field sales collaboration), mass tailoring joint activations and drive our innovation agenda at the heart of our customer’s business.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Strong leadership of the specific Benelux On Trade Cash & Carry and Foodservice performance

  • Map & prioritize the Benelux Cash & Carry and Foodservice universe; acquire new direct / in-direct customers, establish strong working relationships and re-allocate the resources based on agreed criteria. Transform our Benelux Cash & Carry and Foodservice base/channel.

  • Deliver the Benelux Cash & Carry and Foodservice KPI’s & financial targets. Define, develop and implement customer plans. Implementing and executing the designed On Trade Trade-term model.

  • Support the Benelux field sales teams to deliver the Route to Consumer targets by creating strong link between field sales operation and Cash & Carry (and Foodservice) customers.

  • Build and sustain trust and openness with others through strong cross-functional relationships; CP&A, supply, finance etc.

  • Adopt Net Revenue Management as fuel for growth, drive innovation agenda at scale and unlock distribution opportunities through 3rd party sales.

Compelling customer propositions that unlock growth opportunities and maximize sustainable profit delivery

  • Successful activation of high impact activity plans developed for the Cash & Carry (and Foodservice) customers & aligned with CP&A team.

  • Development of robust JUBPs with key customers.

  • Activities within the agreed JUBP are delivered through excellent execution to maximise the return on investment to deliver the required brand and profit targets.

Brilliant Execution of breakthrough customer plans

  • Secure activation of the selected growth drivers at customer level based on informed decisions grounded in data analysis and interpretation.

  • Secure efficient measurement & evaluation against activities in close cooperation with CP&A.

Excellence in building customer relationships

  • Ensure robust contract management process in line with agreed plans to drive maximum return on our investments.

  • Deliver brilliant customer service at every touch point. Secure Diageo is known for our agility: easy to do business with.

  • Ensure Diageo enjoys trust within the customer network as a result of our collaborative and efficient approach to query resolution.

Your qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, commercial or relevant customer management experience

  • Great commercial understanding of Benelux trade environment

  • Excellent relationship-building and conflict management/resolution skills

  • Strong persuasive, negotiation and presentation capabilities

  • Good commercial understanding, P&L literacy - strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Ability to interact at and deliver change through different levels

  • Team player, focused on total company delivery

  • Fluency in Dutch and English are required
