What will you do?

· Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility

· Demonstrates and promotes the company vision of the 4 I’s: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and involvement

· Performs preventative maintenance of production equipment, including cleaning, part replacement and general P.M. as recommended by the equipment manufacturer

· Maintains safe work ethics

· Perform daily/weekly inspections on equipment and supplies

· Ability to troubleshoot and utilize analytical skills including but not limited to diagnosing/ repairing equipment problems.

· Communicates technical information of machinery and processes to necessary parties across the Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology departments.

· Observes machinery to detect malfunctions and ensure the safe and effective operation of packaging machinery in compliance with our SOPs and customer specified instructions

· Performs in-process adjustments on machinery to include but not limited to: roll changes, pen changes, Teflon changes, various machine adjustments, assembly/disassembly of various machinery, reloading of components into auto-fed machinery, blow-outs, alignment functions, resetting of pre-programmed electronic counters, and signing machine logs for the cleaning and/or set-up of production machinery

· Reviews and understands both batch paperwork and supervisor instructions and/or directions to perform the necessary packaging procedures required for assembly of each study

· Accepts or rejects in-process clinical supplies according to acceptability standards determined by Good Manufacturing Principles, customer requirements and Standard Operating Procedures

· Accurately counts and prepares packaging supplies to ensure proper accountabilities prior to job start and at the completion of a job order. Assists quality assurance personnel, production supervisors and line leaders in staging and reconciliation of components as required

· Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

· Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following zones: Blistering, Bottling, Secondary or All Zones.

How will you get here?

Education

High school diploma/GED, Vo-tech or military experience

Experience

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in packaging or production setting preferred

· Prior exposure in 1 or more of the following: electrical, electronics, machining, pneumatics, and/or welding.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

· Ability to read, write and complete basic mathematics calculations.

· Employees will also possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

· Possess the required mechanical skills/ abilities in order to complete their assignments in a timely manner.

· Interpersonal skills needed to interact with various types of employees

· Able to multitask and respond to shifting priorities

· Good written and verbal communication skills needed

· Baseline level of mechanical aptitude to be assessed by testing.

· Mastery of skills required to read, understand, and adhere to the SOPs and policies of a GMP environment.

Physical Requirements

· Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, and squatting. Ability to lift and load up to 70 pounds of materials onto a machine.

· The position is exposed to cold temperatures, below 32 degrees, for more than one hour at a time. The position will be exposed to atmospheric conditions could require special personal protection equipment.

· Must be able to stand continuously (95%-100%)

· Must be able to walk and bend frequently (50% - 79%)

· Must be able to squat (up to 49%)

· Must be able to reach above shoulder level

· Vision requirements for this position: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision) and the ability to adjust focus

· Incumbent must meet applicable visual acuity/color blindness standards

· Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) including but not limited to filtering face masks, PAPR, N- 95 masks, half face masks and safety glasses is required to perform this position
