Inova Health Systems RN UNIT SUPERVISOR in ALEXANDRIA, Virginia

We are seeking a Full Time experienced RN for a Unit Supervisor with the Intensive Care Unit at Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital. Must have previous ICU/Critical Care Experience.
This is a night shift position - 7pm-7am
The Critical Care Unit is a 12 bed combined medical/surgical and cardiac intensive care unit. Care is provided to adult and geriatric medical and surgical patients with potentially life-threatening illnesses. Primary interventions include: cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, acute ventilator support and management and continuous renal replacement therapy.
The patient population includes individuals who are critically ill with cardiac, respiratory, renal, metabolic or multi-organ disorders. Patients are admitted directly from the operating room to recover from anesthesia when they are deemed unstable or critical by the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist.

At least one year of Registered Nurse Clinical experience in the ICU. Prefer more than 2 years of Registered Nurse Clinical Experience specific to the focus of nursing unit.
Associate Degree RNs must be within one year of completing their BSN; Prefer BSN or MSN.
Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days.
BLS required. Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year of hire.
Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.
Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations.
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization. can serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.
