Acquisition Analyst

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support clients in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process, policy, and procedures. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving acquisition and program planning, control, and execution.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with interfacing smoothly and comfortably with program managers, engineers, and analysts from the various services, agencies, and combatant commands and program management offices to collect and assimilate data

-Experience with developing executive-level briefings and other deliverables

-Experience with identifying, developing, or evaluating plans and approaches and performing evaluations, studies, and analyses in support of innovative acquisition approaches and acquisition management initiatives

-Knowledge of the DoD PPBE and JCIDS processes

-Knowledge of DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.75, and related statutes

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Business or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with developing executive-level briefings and other deliverables

-Experience with recent acquisition agile pilots or programs

-Knowledge of recent NDAA language applicable to innovative, rapid, and middle-tier acquisition or acquisition agility

-Possession of excellent technical writing skills to incorporate and integrate the writing of others into a smooth, comprehensive, and readable technical document

-MA or MS degree in a related field
