Responsible for providing site leadership to a customer-focused team or group of teams committed to increased quality and productivity. Provides both strategic and operational leadership for business programs, operations and integrated functional organizations in the MEA region or as assigned. In accordance with organization goals, provides direction on activities and behaviors. Ensures quality service and effective operations support for the site's internal and external customers. Foster customer relationships to the utmost values of company policies. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, task, and solutions. Provides guidance to site on development, performance, and productivity issues. Monitors MEA site budget and ensures proper use of assets. Reports to upper management on site accomplishments, achievements, and productivity.

  • Plan, align, organize, control and develop operational and production support activities in accordance with the vision, mission and values of Vertex Aerospace

  • Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational business units. Recommends modifications to operating policies.

  • Functions as advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Becomes actively involved in daily operations when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems.

  • Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or Human Resources. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.

  • Work in partnership with the Company or Business Unit (BU) business development (BD) organization and proposal manager to develop and implement the detailed capture strategy and tactics, holding primary responsibility for the pre-RFP qualification and capture/marketing effort.

  • Implement and maintain a communication culture to facilitate the sharing of information (objectives, projects, procedures, improvement, etc.)

  • Assemble and manage the direction of the core capture team.

  • Prepare and maintain the capture plan and schedule, and secure division approval of the plan and interim approvals as it evolves to include making presentations to the appropriate corporate and executive reviews.

  • Proactively engage identified individuals to collect and document intelligence about the customer, procurement, competition, and price.

  • Support Price-to-win in designated captures.

  • Develop/approve win themes/discriminators

  • Identify potential BD risks and development avoidance and mitigation strategies

  • Establish resource needs, including B&P, consultant, key hires, etc.

  • Exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies; regularly interact with all levels of management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and display a high degree of tact and diplomacy.

  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

  • Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree Preferred.

  • 18 years with leadership experience in multi-disciplined organizations or programs with Firm Fixed Price contracts and Cost Plus contracts.

  • Able to develop statement of work, proposal development, capture management and business development

  • Must have demonstrated leadership and people management and development skills.

  • Possess strong oral, written, and presentation communications style and skills.

  • Possess strong customer relationship skills.

  • Willing to travel up to 50%

  • Solid time management and project management behaviors.

  • Key competencies for success in this position include: ability to synthesize information, weigh risk and determine the best course of action, strong written and verbal communication, and high comfort with creating reports, analysis and data mining.
